Fortifications Agency is Hiring a Security Protection Specialist

The Fortifications Agency is looking for a Security Protection Specialist for the security department's staff. We are in strong growth, and the staff is being built up to streamline the security department's ability to lead, coordinate, and follow up on operations at an overarching level. Your Daily Life – Strengthening Sweden's Security

The Fortifications Agency is in a strong expansion phase with significant investment volumes to continue developing and building properties and facilities within total defense. The security department is responsible for security protection at the Fortifications Agency. The work includes security protection analysis, physical security, information security, personnel security, incident management, security protection agreements, and signal protection. Currently, about 40 employees work in the security department. The staff is cohesive for the department's planning and operational follow-up, process development, training, and coordination of matters. The staff also includes the function of signal protection.

As a Security Protection Specialist, you will analyze threats, vulnerabilities, and protection values and propose security-enhancing measures. The position requires solid knowledge and experience in identifying protection values and handling security-protected classified information. You will work with security protection planning, security reporting, and incident management. You will make assessments with different time perspectives, aggregation levels, and various recipients that will serve as the basis for decisions in the authority's operations. You are responsible for developing and streamlining the security department's processes and routines. The position involves many points of contact and collaborations by participating in networks and actively cooperating with our partners and other defense-related authorities. You are expected to share your knowledge internally and externally by informing and educating. As a Security Protection Specialist, you will also work with NATO-related assignments.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in the security protection field, with very good knowledge of security protection legislation and applicable regulations. You also have good knowledge of security protection planning, security reporting, and incident management. You have experience in qualified security protection work and several years of experience in security service within a defense-related authority. You have experience in developing processes and routines within security protection services.

You possess leadership skills that we assess as satisfactory, as well as good knowledge of administrative IT support systems. You communicate and express yourself well both verbally and in writing in Swedish. A Class B driver's license is a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have experience with NATO work, preferably within NSIP, or if you have signal protection training. If you have experience in giving presentations and conducting training, that is also positive.

We need someone who is relationship-building and has experience in networking and working across organizational boundaries with different competencies as well as across authority boundaries. The ability to create understanding and a holistic view of security protection issues across various operational areas is an important skill for success in this role. You can convey your message clearly and effortlessly at both the management level and in operational activities or in a technical development project.

You are structured, positive, self-driven, and have the patience and ability to work strategically towards long-term goals. To succeed in the role, you need to be persistent and engaged in driving your own work forward. You have a high security awareness with integrity and good judgment, and a pronounced drive to help protect Sweden's security.

Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment at the Fortifications Agency is security classified.
